Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a consultant?
An e-brilliance consultant is a highly qualified contract employee who works at temporary job assignments for one of our clients. (Take a look at our client listing.) These assignments can be as short as one month but many are a year or longer. Typically, once an assignment is complete, we will provide you with another consulting assignment. - Why are contractors paid more than permanent employees?
Simply put, contractors are paid more because they assume some level of risk of downtime due to the temporary nature of their jobs. Many of our consultants choose to take this risk because their skills are in demand and we have the expertise and reach within the market to supply additional assignments. - How do I minimize downtime as an e-brilliance consultant?
Prior to completing an assignment, the e-brilliance staffing team is already working to provide you with another assignment. We also suggest that you actively pursue professional development opportunities to fulfill market demands for emerging skills and technologies. - Do I need to be available to travel for an e-brilliance assignment?
The majority of our assignments are in the Greater Philadelphia area, although we do occasionally have some assignments in other domestic and international regions. - What’s the first step?
